“ A different language is a different vision of life” – Federico Fellini

The language department believes that competency in a second language is essential in the well-educated person. Our goal is to develop listening, reading, writing and speaking skills equally through the communicative approach, immersion in the target language and deductive presentation of grammar. The study of foreign language fosters a natural awareness and integration of cultural diversity. Students are encouraged to go beyond the 3-year language requirement in the language of their choice. Current offerings include: French, Spanish and Japanese.
