Game Face
A great education should always have a game face.

Played well, there is much that athletics can teach on the field or court or track or course: grace, endurance, confidence, cooperation, skill, heart. Winning well and losing well. Understanding that victory and defeat are both temporary. It’s all part — a very fun part — of the CWA higher education.

MittWhich is why sports have been an integral part of learning and life at Charles Wright since the beginning. Students reach their best in many ways, and running, jumping, throwing, catching and kicking are certainly on the list. Fitness, competition, how self-reliance and team spirit combine — the goals and the rewards are many. The bottom line is that CWA students don’t have to decide between their thinking cap or their game face — they are best worn together.

CWA offers interscholastic play in a wide variety of sports, at both the varsity and junior varsity levels. The Upper School competes in the Emerald City League, while the Middle School is a member of the Middle Chinook League.

And the Charles Wright campus offers outstanding venues and facilities for practice and competition, including extensive athletic fields, training and workout rooms, running track, tennis courts and a domed gymnasium.

CWA fields Tarrier teams in these competitive sports, along with a wide array of active fitness and recreation programs: Football, Varsity and JV Soccer (boys and girls), Volleyball, Cross Country (boys and girls), Varsity and JV Basketball (boys and girls), Baseball, Fastpitch Softball, Tennis (boys and girls), Track and Field (boys and girls), Golf (boys and girls). See our sports schedule to check out a game...
